DOUBLE REVIEW - TK SOMETHING BBQ RESTAURANT & WON JO KOREAN BBQ

Dear Diary,

This is just going to be a very brief review of two restaurants that I've recently been at. Hope it helps! Again, I will attach photos soon - it's just a little hard for me to transfer my photos from my phone to my laptop right now.

TK SOMETHING (CANLEY VALE)
So last Sunday (12/04/15) I went with my old co-workers (many of them left so it was a nice little reunion) to eat at TK Something. It's a buffet so you can eat as much food as you want within the time frame of 120 minutes. It's $30 per person though keep in mind that this doesn't include drinks. Unlike your typical buffet where you have to stand up with your plate and go pick whatever food you want, this restaurant gives you a menu and you just choose what you want and they'll bring it out for you. We literally ordered everything on the menu which i will attach very soon. There's also a self-serve dessert cabinet... this is a MUST TRY. If you go there and they have the creme brulee, I say, definitely give that a try - especially if you have a sweet tooth and want a break from all the meat you're eating. My favourite dish to order from the menu is definitely the Chilli Pork Ribs. Drool. Overall, I think this is definitely a go-to place if you're trying to find somewhere to go with a group of friends. Make sure you don't eat before you go - because how else would you be able to eat your $30 worth of meat?? I would say, my only 'complaint' would be how long they took to bring out our food. Since there were 11 of us, we split up and sat on two tables. The food for my table took so long to come out - we were just eating our side dishes (which is also refillable) while crying because the other table was deliciously grilling their meat. Talking about the side dishes, I LOVE the side dishes here.

Diary Ratings: 8/10 (This was my second time here - guess my co-workers really love meat... but I'm not complaining at all!!) P.S. Thanks Huy for the shout! <3

WON JO (STRATHFIELD)
Just mentioning Strathfield means you can't go wrong with Korean food. It's the holidays and I've barely been out due to being sick and lazy. My cousins kindly drove me out yesterday to Strathfield to eat some Korean food. We parked at Strathfield Plaza and walked towards Won Jo. I've heard so many great things about this place so I was definitely very excited. None of us felt like eating meat, so we opted for the other dishes. I'm so sorry I don't have the prices or the exact name of the dishes because I didn't really look at the menu since my cousins were the experts - I left the ordering job to them! I did say I wanted to try Korean Fried Chicken though - and this was the dish I was most excited for. We ordered Bibimbap, some sort of Stew, Seafood Pancake and half-half Fried Boneless Chicken. Funny... I just realised I wrote that in the order from what I most liked to least. The Bibimbap was amazing. It was so flavoursome and much to my surprise, the rice wasn't soggy or anything. The stew was also to die for. I was initially so scared because the colour of the broth was literally bright red, but it was actually quite sweet. I could imagine how wonderful this would be on a cold night. The seafood pancake was also quite good. Although it's not my cup of tea, I think it's definitely ALOT better than many of the fried pancakes I've had. It wasn't oily, yet still crispy and full of... seafood!! haha. Unfortunately, the KFC was a little bit of disappointment for me. Maybe it was because I had really high hopes for it, but i felt like there was nothing really special about it. It saying that, the chicken was very juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Not very flavoursome though. Overall, I really loved going here and would hands down come again to eat the bibimbap and stew when I get a chance to do so! Afterwards, my cousins took me around Strathfield for a bit, but there's really nothing to do there HAHA so we went back into Strathfield plaza and got ourselves some Chatime. I got the Match Latte and it was delicious, as always. The embarrassing part was I gave them my 'Chatime' membership card, only to realise it was actually my 'EasyWay' card after I had given it to the worker. Sigh, didn't even end up getting points because I was too embarrassed to give my ACTUAL card again. We walked to this small Korean Supermarket and my cousins picked up a few things. They told me to choose any snacks I wanted but I didn't choose anything so they got me this box of chips they thought I should try out. It was delicious, and tastes kind of like Pringles in the Cheddar flavour.
Again, thank you so much Jennifer and James for the wonderful day and thanks for the food. I really enjoyed it!! :) <3

Diary Ratings: 9.5/10 (Will definitely be back!!)

P.S. I'm going to the city tomorrow to do some damage, so I'll write my OVI Hydration review once I get home tomorrow!

Love,
The Miss Diaries.
